A Modern Take on a Classic
The Frederique Constant Worldtimer, a beloved model within the Manufacture Collection, has been reimagined with a fresh design specifically tailored to the collector community. This new 40mm version complements the existing 42mm model, addressing the aesthetic preferences and wearability needs of a significant segment of watch enthusiasts who appreciate a more versatile size.
The Worldtimer Manufacture: A Fusion of Design and Function
The new case, boasting subtle curves, sharp bevels, vertically brushed lugs, a horizontally brushed case profile, and a polished bezel, creates a striking impression of slimness, despite housing a complex world time complication, and balances elegance with a dynamic presence on the wrist.
Achieving the perfect case proportions and optimal legibility of the world time city disk was a key focus for Frederique Constant and Watch Angels. By inclining the city disk and eliminating the date window, the redesigned three-piece dial prioritizes clarity and effortless readability of the 24 time zones. The result is a clean, contemporary aesthetic focused on functionality.
Adding to the dial's allure are the day and night segments on the 24-hour disk. These are divided by two beautifully crafted half hemispheres: a polished sun representing daytime and a polished-sandblasted crescent moon for nighttime, seamlessly blending form and function.
"Since our founding, we innovate by collaborating with best-in-class partners," says Niels Eggerding, CEO of Frederique Constant. "They are able to take us out of our comfort zone which is necessary for experimentation and innovation. The collaboration with Watch Angels situates itself within this framework, and additionally brings us the feedback of a collector community further reinforcing our way of innovating which includes closely listening to the market."
Masterful Simplicity and Swiss Craftsmanship
Powering this exceptional timepiece is the in-house FC-718 caliber. Comprising 139 meticulously assembled components, this precision movement is designed for effortless usability. All functions, including setting the world time, are conveniently controlled solely via the crown—no additional pushers are required.

The movement's exquisite craftsmanship is on full display through an extra-large open sapphire case back. Decorations such as Côtes de Genève, perlage, and blued screws are all hallmarks of Swiss horological excellence. This new 40mm Frederique Constant Worldtimer Manufacture embodies the brand’s commitment to innovation, timeless elegance, and responding directly to the desires of the collector community.
