The watch's design echoes the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS team's iconic Black and Petronas Green colour scheme. The shock absorber spring itself is coated in Petronas green Super-LumiNova®, glowing vibrantly in low light. The case and crown, crafted from IWC’s proprietary Ceratanium®, combine the lightness of titanium with the hardness of ceramic.
The black dial, featuring a grainy technical structure, and the newly designed triangular hands, also with Super-LumiNova® accents, add to the watch's technical aesthetic. The outer ring with the minute scale appears to float, adding a unique visual element.
