A Dial Like No Other

The most striking feature of this collaboration is undoubtedly the dial. Rendered in a vibrant, iridescent green, it's more than just a colour – it's a statement. Inspired by the iconic hues of British sports cars, particularly Aston Martin's own palette, the dial is crafted using automotive paint, a first for Girard-Perregaux. This wasn't a simple paint job. It required a brand-new, highly complex process involving 14 manufacturing steps and 15 ultra-thin layers of paint. The tolerances involved are far stricter than in the automotive industry, demanding a meticulous filtration method to ensure a flawless finish.

The green itself is a nod to British racing heritage, a color deeply ingrained in Aston Martin's history. But this isn't just any green; it's an iridescent shade that shifts and changes with the light, transitioning from green to orange depending on the viewing angle. This dynamic play of light mirrors the ever-changing sensations experienced behind the wheel of a high-performance vehicle.

Lightweight Power, Intuitive Design

Just as Aston Martin prioritizes lightweight materials and ergonomic design in their cars, Girard-Perregaux has applied the same principles to the Laureato Chronograph. The watch is crafted from Grade 5 titanium, chosen for its strength, lightness, and hypoallergenic properties. The skeletonized hands, inspired by Aston Martin's iconic front grille, and the grey-toned PVD treated indexes ensure optimal legibility, mirroring the intuitive instrument panels of a supercar.

A Movement That Moves You

At the heart of the Laureato Chronograph beats the in-house GP03300 calibre, a self-winding movement visible through a sapphire caseback bearing the Aston Martin logo. This movement, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, boasts a 46-hour power reserve and showcases the brand's commitment to horological excellence.

A Legacy of Innovation

Both Aston Martin and Girard-Perregaux share a rich history of innovation and a dedication to pushing boundaries. The Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition is a testament to this shared passion, a watch that seamlessly blends automotive inspiration with horological artistry.

The Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition will be available worldwide starting February 19th, 2025.
