A Trio of Tambour elegance: Louis Vuitton Unveils 3 New Models

BLENDING LUXURIOUS MATERIALS WITH THE ART OF GEM-SETTING

NEW RELEASE | 350 WORDS | 3 MIN READ

18th February, 2025: Louis Vuitton is making waves in the horological world with the announcement of three new Tambour models, showcasing a blend of luxurious materials and high-end gem-setting. This release follows the brand's recent focus on the revamped Tambour line, and offers a glimpse into their evolving design direction.

A Trio of Tambour Elegance

The new collection features two limited edition high-end releases in Platinum Rainbow and Yellow Gold Onyx, alongside a non-limited brown Ceramic Rose Gold model, all maintaining the 40mm diameter and 8.3mm thickness that have become synonymous with the relaunched Tambour.

Tambour Ceramic Rose Gold: A Nod to Iconic Heritage

The Tambour Ceramic Rose Gold immediately draws attention with its direct connection to Louis Vuitton's iconic brown monogram canvas. The brown dial, featuring a brushed finish at its center, is complemented by 18k rose gold accents on the dial, lumed hands, and integrated bracelet center links.

The bracelet's innovative design conceals visible pins, thanks to a rose gold articulated framework beneath the ceramic links. This ingenious solution addresses the challenge of creating thin, durable ceramic bracelets for everyday wear.

Platinum Rainbow: A Dazzling Display of Gems

The limited edition Tambour Platinum Rainbow lives up to its name, featuring a silver sector dial and a gradient of rainbow sapphires and rubies (2.19 cts total) adorning both the bezel and dial indices. The hands, outer indices, and gem settings are all crafted in 18k white gold, as is the platinum bracelet's triple-fold deployant buckle.

Yellow Gold Onyx: A Study in Contrast

The Tambour Yellow Gold Onyx showcases a striking onyx dial, a departure from traditional lacquered or coated dials. This model also features substantial gem-setting, with 48 saffron sapphires embellishing the dial and bezel.

Calibre LFT023.01: A Reliable Powerhouse

All three watches are powered by the Calibre LFT023.01, based on the Le Cercle des Horlogers CH200.CHSA. This micro-rotor automatic movement, running at 4Hz with a 50-hour power reserve, is compact and efficient, contributing to the Tambour's slim profile. It's the same movement found in previous Tambour iterations.
