Hermès Unveils New Interpretations to Their Arceau Collection

Iterations in Celestial and Terrestrial Journeys

NEW RELEASE | 450 WORDS | 4 MIN READ

21st February, 2025: Hermès continues to enchant the world of horology with the release of new versions of its captivating Arceau L’Heure de la Lune and Arceau Le Temps Voyageur timepieces. Known for its poetic interpretations of time, Hermès once again demonstrates its unique approach to watchmaking, blending technical sophistication with artistic expression.

Arceau L'Heure de la Lune: A Celestial Dance

The Arceau L’Heure de la Lune, which debuted in 2019, returns with three new limited-edition models: Blue Grey Moon, Vesta, and Erg Chech. This innovative timepiece reimagines the moon phase complication, featuring two mobile counters that rotate around the dial over 59 days, displaying the waxing and waning of the Moon in both hemispheres.

Arceau L’Heure de la Lune Erg Chech

Unlike traditional moon phase displays, the Arceau de la Lune creates a dynamic celestial choreography, powered by the automatic H1837 base calibre and an exclusive Hermès 117-component "L'heure de la lune" module.

Each 43mm model showcases a unique two-tone aesthetic, combining different materials for the lugs and cases, along with meteorite dials and mother-of-pearl moons featuring a lunar surface transfer. All three variants feature a Pegasus (winged horse) motif, designed by Dimitri Rybaltchenko, in the moon corresponding to the Southern Hemisphere.

These three models are sold as a set, limited to 12 pieces, and are paired with matte alligator Hermès straps matching the watch's color scheme. Each set is priced at EUR 251,000.

Arceau Le Temps Voyageur: A Journey Across Time Zones

The Arceau Le Temps Voyageur, released in 2022, is a masterfully intuitive travel companion, displaying home time, local time, and 24 time zones. Hermès introduces two new references: a 41mm white gold model and a 38mm rose gold model with 78 diamonds set in the bezel.

Both timepieces feature the "Planisphère d’un Monde Équestre" (equestrian planet) map on the dial, an imaginative creation by artist Jérôme Colliard, with landmasses named after equestrian pursuits.

Driven by a sophisticated travelling time module developed exclusively for Hermès by Chronode, the 122-component module fitted on top of the H1837 automatic movement allows the mobile local time disc to glide over the imaginary map.

Both models are fitted with Hermès alligator straps and are priced at EUR 37,000.
