This week, Luxury Watch Works had the privilege of servicing a truly exceptional timepiece: a Ulysse Nardin Skeleton Tourbillon 1706-129. This particular watch, with a limited production run of just 200 pieces worldwide, showcases Ulysse Nardin's mastery of skeletonization and high-complication watchmaking, a testament to the brand’s boundary-pushing horological innovation.

As India’s Sole Authorized Service Centre for Ulysse Nardin, among many other prestigious brands, Luxury Watch Works provides the expertise and exclusive access to genuine parts necessary to service even the most exclusive models, ensuring your watch receives the care it deserves.

The Skeleton Tourbillon 1706-129, brought in by a business partner, was non-functional. A 15-point initial examination revealed the need for a complete overhaul. Further diagnosis identified a broken barrel bridge and a damaged main plate barrel jewel. Not only have our technicians undergone specialised training in Switzerland by Ulysse Nardin, but we are also equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment, including brand-specific tools and diagnostic machinery, to ensure the most precise and meticulous care for the brand’s most intricate timepieces. To address the issues of the this watch, a special toolkit was ordered from Ulysse Nardin and the technical team completed the necessary repairs.

The Ulysse Nardin Skeleton Tourbillon 1706-129, crafted in 18k rose gold, offers a captivating glimpse into the heart of horological artistry. Though it only displays hours and minutes, the skeletonized dial, with its hand-finished bridges and blued steel screws, transforms the movement into a mesmerising work of art, making it a visual feast for anyone who delights in being enchanted by the inner workings of their watch. The Tourbillon, a rotating cage that counteracts the effects of gravity on the timekeeping mechanism, adds a layer of complexity and sophistication to this already remarkable timepiece.
