A Legacy of Ocean Dedication

Since the creation of the iconic Fifty Fathoms in 1953, Blancpain has been a passionate advocate for the oceanic world. The Blancpain Ocean Commitment embodies this enduring dedication, spanning over two decades of supporting ocean exploration and protection.

A Blend of Performance and Purpose

The new Fifty Fathoms Tech BOC IV draws inspiration from the Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary Act 2 Tech Gombessa, but with a refined 45mm diameter and 14.1mm thickness, making it ideal for both underwater adventures and everyday wear. With each watch sold, 1,000 euros will be donated to the newly established Blancpain x Sulubaaï Marine Research Center, generating a total fund of 100,000 euros.

Exceptional Features for Demanding Environments

The Grade 23 titanium case, lightweight yet robust, features a helium valve for saturation diving. The unidirectional bezel with a domed black ceramic insert ensures easy operation, even with diving gloves. The absolute black dial, absorbing 97% of light, guarantees optimal underwater readability. Luminescent block-shaped hour markers and an integrated black rubber strap with internal central lugs enhance functionality and comfort.

High-Precision Mechanics at Its Core

The Fifty Fathoms Tech BOC IV is powered by Blancpain's renowned calibre 1315A, an automatic movement with a five-day power reserve. The anti-magnetic silicon balance spring ensures exceptional chronometric performance. The 18ct gold oscillating weight, adorned with the blue BOC logo, is visible through the sapphire case back, showcasing the movement's exquisite finish.

An Ambitious Preservation Initiative

The Blancpain x Sulubaaï Marine Research Center, inaugurated on February 7, 2025, is an extension of the Sea Academy program. Blancpain has supported this program, led by the Sulubaaï Environmental Foundation, since 2020. The center focuses on creating a network of marine protected areas (MPAs) in the Philippines, emphasizing protection, restoration, education, and replication.

Located near critical research areas, the center enhances the study and protection of these marine ecosystems. The sales of the BOC IV will directly support the center's operations.

More Than Just a Timepiece: A Commitment to the Future

Each of the 100 BOC IV watches comes with a Pelicase™ box, a donation certificate, and a numbered, special edition photograph by Laurent Ballesta. This image, part of his award-winning series, depicts a horseshoe crab, a species threatened with extinction but protected by the Sea Academy's MPAs.

Owners of the Fifty Fathoms Tech BOC IV directly contribute to ocean preservation and receive an exclusive invitation to join the Blancpain Ocean Commitment Circle, a community of enthusiasts dedicated to safeguarding our oceans. This watch is a testament to Blancpain's commitment to a better future for our planet.
